  • Participants: Open to all communities
  • Age category: Under 10, Under 13, Under 16 and Open
  • System: Tournament 7 rounds (Swiss system)
  • Time control: 15 mins + 5 sec for each

Your child will learn the basic rules of chess and how the chessmen move and capture. Once they are comfortable with these concepts they’ll learn how to start a game and then be introduced to ‘check’ and ‘checkmate’ techniques to complete a game.
