Chennai floods: Rescue operations almost over, focus now on relief work - 2015
Torrential rain in Chennai, India has resulted in terrible flooding. Thousands of families have had to evacuate their homes and more than 180 people have died. This fund will provide relief to victims by helping purchase emergency supplies like food, water, and medicine in addition to longer term recovery assistance.
All donations to this fund will support recovery and relief efforts in Chennai. Initially, the fund will help first responders meet survivors immediate needs for food, fuel, clean water, hygiene products, and shelter. Once initial relief work is complete, this fund will transition to support longer-term recovery efforts run by local, vetted organisations
We've donated 10 sewings machines to an NGO named OASIS whoes one of the project is the Chennai flood relief and rehabilitation efforts.
