Welcome to Lotus Caring Hands (LCH)

At Lotus Caring Hands (LCH), we are dedicated to improving education and healthcare, particularly in the rural areas of Sri Lanka and whilst fostering support in the United Kingdom too. While we acknowledge that our efforts are just a step toward addressing these critical issues, we firmly believe they have the potential to transform lives and offer hope to those who lack access to basic facilities and opportunities that many of us take for granted.

The core objectives of Lotus Caring Hands (LCH) include:

Advancing Education: Enhancing educational opportunities and resources for children.

Promoting Health: Improving healthcare access and outcomes for children and adults.

Raising Awareness: Educating communities about health, safety, and wellness.

Providing Relief: Supporting those affected by poverty and natural disasters.

Why Our Work Matters

Sri Lanka’s 30-year-long conflict has left lasting scars, wiping out countless opportunities and creating significant skills gap. Many individuals—children, youth, and adults—have been deeply affected, hindering their ability to compete and thrive. At LCH, we are committed to bridging this gap by providing education, training, and resources to foster growth and empowerment.

Our Approach

We believe in empowering individuals, not creating dependency. Instead of temporary handouts, we focus on investing in children’s futures. With access to education, healthcare, and opportunities, we enable them to overcome challenges, break the cycle of poverty, and build brighter futures for themselves and their communities.

YLCH – Chess Workshop

Your child will learn the basic rules of chess and how the chessmen move and capture. Once they are comfortable with these concepts they’ll learn how to start a game and then be introduced to ‘check’ and ‘checkmate’ techniques to complete a game.
